Waring Natives
Hidden Secrets
Description
Ashan is a primitive world know for it's vast grasslands and deserts. There are remains of an ancient technologically advanced civilization long passed. Most of the technology is inert or destroyed, but occasionally ancient technology can be recovered. The natives are superstitious and refer to space travelers as the Ancient Ones, believing them to be the returning ancestors of the lost ancient civilization.
They natives are divided into many waring tribes, although they obviously share roots from before the Age of Strife. Differences in culture and language are usually subtle and based on different interpretations of ancient artifacts. Defeated tribesmen are sometimes sold as slaves.
The planet itself is fairly stable. Despite their technological deficiency, Ashan is a perfectly habitable world which leads explorers to ask what could have happened to cause the downfall of the previous civilization. There are only a few other gas giants and large asteroids in the system. The Sun is a red dwarf.

Aspects
The Voraskan consume everything
Warning: Solar Radiation
We must spread to the stars
Description
Voraska is the home of a insectoid race called the Voraskan.
Although originally believed to be just animals, they are actually fairly intelligent, if a bit barbaric.
They have developed rudimentary technology primarily driven by atomic power.
The Voraskan are immune to radiation and voracious eaters.
They consume everything, from trash to their own dead.
The Voraskan have plundered most of their home worlds resources and desperately rely on trade. Despite their main energy source being atomic power, their world is fairly devoid of nuclear materials. Atomic energy technology was adopted from space travelers along with their fuel sources. The recent advanced in technology has caused a boom in their population which is quickly draining their food supplies. The Voraskan have already hunted many of their food sources to extinction. The Voraskan are desperate to gain space travel so they can colonize other worlds, but most traders realize the threat they pose if they were to start colonizing other worlds. That being said, the Voraskan have at least an uneasy truce with most species since they are so desperate for trade.
Voraska has higher levels of radiation than most systems.
While this poses no threat to the Voraskan, it can be fatal to most other species over extended months of exposure.
The terrain is mostly rocky and mountainous, although mineral poor.

Crazy robots
No one bothers us out here
Description
Binchura was the home system Binchurians before the war. Due to their small stature and population, the Binchurians create robots to build their cities. However, the Binchurians' construction robots were hit by highly advanced virus. The Binchurians tried to stop their creations when they started getting out of hand, but the control mechanisms mysteriously stopped working. The robots striped Binchura of most of its resources and its ozone layer in order to fulfill their primary function. Their home world devastated and made unhabitable, the Binchurians were forced to flee to surrounding space colonies. Now they seek a new home world.

Description
Icrion is experiencing a technological singularity where its denizens need very little from the surrounding systems. Consisting of several garden worlds and sustainable resources, Icrionis have a very self contained and insular culture. This world contributes little to no communication to its neighbors and it remains to be seen what role (good or ill) this mysterious civilization will have.

Exploring new energy sources
Description
Endara is a water world which has nearly no atmosphere. Although the seas are evaporating rapidly Endara was not always this way. Previously it was a thriving planet but was the victim of a catastrophic climate event which ended nearly all life on the planet. Currently over 90% of the planet surface is covered by water. The land surface is barren except for bacterial life forms. Still sentient life survives in the only place it can escape the harsh conditions on the surface. This is deep below the ocean surface safe from the adverse weather conditions. These life forms are called Qwarge.
The Qwarge
They are a short pig looking amphibian. They evolved on this planet messed it up and now reside deep in the see. They survive by auqiponics and get power from deep see vents as well as a few nuclear power plants. They survive but there is not always enough to go around. The Qwarge are known to occasionally eat visitors when they know they can get away from it. They are resourceful, resilient and will do what ever it takes.

Description
A once prosperous world. Over used by settlers. Peaceful inhabitants that once understood slipstream use but now forsake technology. While the easy to get resources have already been exploited there is still money to be made here. No fully established governance so settlers often have to resort to alternative means to settle disputes.

Description
A once beautiful world of extremely large, rapid growing, crystals that gleam in array of colors and patterns, is now tainted by the endless smoke and smog emitted by mining and processing colonies of man. The colonies sole purpose is to consume resources to send off world and distributed to others deemed more important. The growing crystals make the land environment constantly changing making navigation and colonizing difficult. Most structures are on not on a foundation, but large mechanical legs or treads, making them mobile cities able to move with the landscape or move to another location all together.

Description
A human world so prosperous it has long ago hit the limits of what the world can contain and handle. A completely covered urban sprawl that has every inch touched by man, and has consumed all resources available. The world now maintains is status by sending lower class by the billions to mine and work off world, and importing as many resources from other planets and colonies as it can.

The Greater Good
Strict Caste System
Description
The Tau are a young race of technologically-oriented beings from the Eastern Fringe and the dominant species of the Tau Empire. T'au, the Tau home planet, was discovered 6,000 years ago and at that time, the Tau species had mastered the use of simple tools and weapons, as well as fire. The system was largely ignored due to their lack of technology and was effectively cut off from other systems for thousands of years due to vagaries in the Warp (slipstream). In six thousand years, the Tau had advanced from spears and fire to colonizing planets and utilizing pulse rifles.
The Tau are a plains-dwelling race. In their prehistory, they lived in tribes on the desert plains, hunting and gathering their food. As their race aged, they expanded to all environments. The Tau of the plains became strong and skilful hunters, larger and stronger than most other Tau. The Tau of the mountains developed the ability to soar high above the baking deserts on thermals. The Tau of the river valleys developed agriculture and metallurgy, forming the first true settlements. The development of settlements led to the need of trade, and wandering Tau began to negotiate and mediate between the disparate tribes.
Eventually, avarice got the better of the Tau. Growing pains, caused by their unusually rapid technological development led to the invention of sophisticated weaponry. The Tau of the river valleys developed stone fortresses and crude blackpowder weapons to ward off the aggressive Tau of the plains. These fledgling skirmishes led to the darkest period in Tau history, the Mont'au.
The numerous wars that broke out lasted for years. Each year, thousands died as squalid conditions and lack of access to fresh food and water created a plague that killed more Tau than were dying in the wars. The Tau were on the verge of wiping themselves out. Out of the destruction and darkness of the Mont'au came a guiding light: the Ethereals.
Tau legends tell of the first appearance of Ethereals at Fio'taun. The fortress city of Fio'taun was under assault by the warriors from the plains. Though negotiation had been attempted, the fierce plain warriors would settle for nothing less than the annihilation of Fio'taun. For five long years, the inhabitants held off the savage assaults with their thick walls and plentiful cannons. However, disease and starvation began to take their toll. As the tide of the siege turned, two mysterious Tau appeared. One made his way into the camp of the plains Tau, exuding a quiet authority that no Tau was able to resist. Soon, the leader of the plains warriors was persuaded to parley with the Tau of Fio'taun. Similarly, the other mysterious Tau made his way deep into the fortress. Within a few short hours, the gates stood wide open, and the Tau stood ready to talk.
The Ethereals spoke of the importance of peace and understanding between all Tau. They described a Greater Good that each Tau must strive towards. The besiegers and the besieged quickly agreed with the Ethereals and a truce was reached. Across the land, Ethereals emerged, each with the same quiet authority and message of harmony and cooperation. With the Tau united, a great civilization began.
The introduction of the Ethereals to Tau society led to the creation of a rigid Caste System, with each caste taking on the name of an element that is close to them. Thus, the warriors of the Tau Empire became known as the Fire (Shas) Caste, due to their fiery temper. The artisans and scientists became known as the Earth (Fio) Caste, being the most pragmatic of the Tau. The diplomats and administrators became known as the Water (Por) Caste, as water flows through all life, uniting it. Lastly, the Tau messengers and spies became known as the Air (Kor) Caste, traversing the land on top of gusts of wind. With the invention of aircraft, and later spacecraft, the Air Caste would become the pilots of the Tau Navy.

Description
The human people of the Cuniculun Rocks inhabit a large asteroid field near the center of the solar system.
Ages past, the homeworld of the these people was attacked by an unknown alien race. The aliens descended upon the planet with organic warships and soldiers. Using only organic weapons and monstrosities, the alien race quickly overwhelmed the defenders and so began systematically consuming the bio-mass upon the planet or siphoning the bio-mass to the large organic warships in orbit. Within weeks, the aliens had consumed or removed all bio-mass on the planet. In their final act before leaving the planet, the aliens suctioned the atmosphere from the planet, leaving the the people's homeworld a barren air-less rock.
