Quick Guide

<Last>-Sama - Very formal way to address someone you have great respect for or is of a high rank or social standing.

<Last>-Dono - Very formal way to address someone. Similar to Sama except old fashioned.

<Last>-San - Formal way to refer to someone. Most common usage.

<First>-San - Less formal way to refer to someone. Implies friendship.

<Last>-Kun - Formal way to refer to a (usually male) classmate. Implies some familiarity.

<First>-Kun - Less formal way to refer to a (usually male) classmate. Usually implies childhood friendship.

<Last>-Chan - Informal and cute way to refer to someone. Somewhat condescending.

<First>-Chan - Even more informal and cute way to refer to someone. Somewhat condescending.

<First only> - Implies that you're totally doing it with that person every night and sometimes between classes.

Titles

Sensei - Teach or doctor.

Senpai - Someone with a higher rank or in a higher grade level than you.

Kohei - Someone with a lower rank or in a lower grade level than you. Rarely used when actually addressing someone.
