Descriptions
Phase 1: Huntsman of the Flavour Seal
D6 K4-MAI was grown in row D4, vat K4 of thr great breeding vats in the City of Great Leader. Like the rest of his batch, he was part of the requisition to fill the crew of the Endaran hunting submarine “Flavour Seal.” Life aboard the hunting fleet was vicious. Most of his batch was culled by the crew for meals, but D6 K4-MAI distinguished himself as a resourceful hunter early on, ensuring his survival. While in the midst of hunting a pod of searaptors the Flavour Seal disturbed the den of the dreaded Sharktopus. The doom of the ship was certain and to save as many as possible the captain surfaced the ship. Evacuation had just began when the sharktopus punctured the Flavour Seal's hydrogen fuel cell, engulfing the ship and the remaining crew and the sharktopus in a massive fireball.
Phase 2: Wreck of the Flavour Seal
D6 K4-MAI was aboard the sole raft of survivors. Faced with the threat of drowning the remnants of the crew made their way to a small cay. Now on dry land, the crew had to deal with hunger on the barren sand and the harsh sulfide atmosphere. The air was an easy fix. D6 K4-MAI rigged his oxygen tank to the life raft's electrolysis unit and built an air filter. Then Hunger struck. D6 K4-MAI, skilled as he was, slaughtered and ate his crew one by one in a hunt of the most dangerous game. He developed a taste for his fellow crew, and wondered, “What other delicious species are out there?”
Phase 3: "If it bleeds, we can kill it."
Rescue came to the cay days after the last of the crew had been devoured. D6 K4-MAI was hailed as a hero in the City of Great Leader upon his return, and was even granted a name, “Decatur Khal-Mai.” Decatur spun his fame into a lucrative TV deal and launched a hunting show entitled “If it bleeds we can kill it.” The show leads the 18-49 male demographic in the ratings and depicts Decatur Khal-Mai tracking and killing dangerous beasts and criminals. His signature sign off is pointing to the home viewer and taking a bite out of his prey.
Phase 4: "If we can kill it, we can eat it."
Before long raw prey just wasn't good enough anymore. Decatur yearned smells and tastes of boundless nuance and complexity. Thus he decided to launch a second show. Airing immediately following “If it bleeds…” is now a cooking program hosted by celebrity hunter and chef Decatur Khal-Mai. In each program, Decatur butchers and cooks his recent prey as part of a sumptuous recipe that can be easily followed along at home. The most recent episodes of Decatur Khal-Mai's series - “The hunt for and frying of Trenton Lemons” were requested by the Great Leader himself.
Phase 5: Fame Offworld
Trenton Lemons has proved a challenging quarry. It seems the well deserved fame Decatur enjoys on Endara is not universal, and he is met with a new problem. No one seems to know who he is. What, is there no TV in the rest of the cluster? This is Decatur Khal-Mai we're talking about! No? Really? You've never heard of him? Well we're just going to have to get syndicated!
